Blues Begin The Building Phase

Welcome to the first edition of The Rover Report, we'll tackle all the hard hitting issues of the Bristol Rovers Football Club in there push for promotion to the ultimate goal of Pacific Premier League.
This issue we'll talk about the direction of the club, the upcoming league match and the Bristol City FC (Youth) charge towards there second title, but first we'll start with the press conference held by manager Gary Johnson....

Gary Johnson Thanks everyone for coming out today, this we'll only have time for two questions, I need to get back to the lads.
Reporter Do you think that the team can maintain there form to hold a top four spot?
Gary Johnson Of course, we can beat all but two teams in this comp and we have proven it over the first seven rounds, if not for a few key injuries to Ed Stone & Alessio Langiu we would still be sitting pretty in third spot.
Reporter The recent signing of Dryden Stallard has been recently critsised as just another injury cover player, how do you respond to those comments?
Gary Johnson In some ways yes I agree, but I also disagree, he was bought when there was an injury in the midfield but yet again he is only 19 with solid playmaking and soon to pop, he is part of the big picture for promotion & cup sucess.
Gary Johnson Thank You, I have to get back to training, Cheers

When you walk around the halls of Memorial Road Stadium, there isn't much history for this twenty-three game club to smile about, even though there is a trophy in the cabinet. There is certainly a buzz about the sheds after seven rounds the boys sit in 4th spot, in striking distance of third place. There first venture into the cup can be hailed as a sucess even if we only made it to the second round. Certainly the CEO Rob Hayes who joined from Sydney F.C in the offseason we'll be expecting big things for this club from the west of Sydney.

Champions Of Australia; that was the title won by Bristol City last Youth Season, in the last day of the season City only needed to draw with second placed side Ubuntus Teens, played out to be an exciting 5-5 draw with Ubuntus tying up the match in the 87th minute to put a few fans on edge as City claimed there first championship.
City's next task was to take on the Australian League Of Doom, which is the winners championship, which is much harder with higher standards leave City languishing in sixth place with seven matches in the championship left.

Well thats all we have time for in this editon of The Rover Report in the next issue we'll look at the past & upcoming league matches for Rovers & City fans to cast there eyes at. Next week Rovers V FC Boiberto @ Memorial Road KO 4:00 HT.
