ideas for "marketing" your team blog

Team blogs are cool, but only if others read them and respond. I'd like to write an article with tips on how to draw attention to your team blog. If anyone else wants to write it, that would be cool, too :)

Let's write all marketing ideas in this post.

My own ideas:
* simply ask your hattrick friends to come, read and comment.
* same thing, but in some forums. only be sure not to spam... (tricky)
* put a link to your blog in your signatures
* send a newsletter to your supporters
* create an alias. it's easier to remember www.hottrick.org/arsenal then www.hottrick.org/blog/32396
* write comments in other people's blogs. this way they might click on your nick and read your stuff.
* however you advertise your blog, don't be spammy. commenting on other ppl's posts? make those comments fun to read!

For starters you can set your homepage on your ht-teampage to show your hottrick team blog link. If you have a hattrick clubhouse or ht-arena teampage then of course put a link to your hottrick team blog somewhere on your site. Preferably where it can be seen.

You could also submit your blog to social bookmarking sites such as del.icio.us. Here's an example of some hottrick blogs I have tagged using my del.icio.us account.

Another possibility is to submit your link to hattrick directories such as HT-Links or HT-Start. Though TBH some of the directories may want to see consistent quality content in a blog before accepting a link.
