Kill those annoying pop-ups

I signed up with an ad-serving company just before I went skiing last week. One week later I came back and read that sometimes pop-ups appear when people visit hottrick. Serving annoying ads is the last thing I want to do, thus I've immediately e-mailed this company that I want only regular banners. Right now I'm waiting for an answer.

It's a good reason to solve the pop-up problem for yourself. If you're using browsers such as Opera, blocking pop-ups is not a problem (it's a built-in feature). But majority of you guys use Internet Explorer and need to do it another way. There are many programs that do it for you. One of them is Alexa Toolbar. It's a nice little piece of software that I've installed myself (I sometimes use IE, when Opera fails reading some sites). Why is it better than other pop-up killers? Simply because it's published by a well known company (Alexa is a part of Amazon and makes the most respected traffic stats for the whole Web - see hottrick stats) and won't do any dirty tricks on you. It has some nice features, such as very handy Google search box (again, Opera has it by default :) ), dictionary (I use it when writing in English), etc.

I haven't tried other pop-up killers, so I can't tell you about them. This one is tiny, does its main work perfectly, plus it speeds up popular tasks (Opera users who search with Google dozens times a day know what I mean :) ).

I'll wait couple of days for an response from that ad-serving company. Pops appear once every 30 pages on average, but I don't want them at all. If it can't be solved, I'll resign, don't worry.
